We believe that mapping gender equality ecosystems can help generate more significant and faster impactfor women and girls on the ground.
We believe that mapping gender equality ecosystems can help generate more significant and faster impactfor women and girls on the ground, so we are working with actors from across multiple sectors in Brazil to create an accessible platform which allows people to see who is doing what for women and where.
By showing up existing connections, and potential gaps, UNA platform will provide a snapshot of the broader ecosystem for gender equality and women’s rights in Brazil. This visualisation will help current and new social actors to better and more strategically analyse their impact and where they can add most value. It will also enable organizations and initiatives to interact more easily, find common ground, funding partners or even create shared indicators for evaluation in the future. In this way, we hope that UNA will highlight synergies and opportunities as well as maximize results and resources for women’s empowerment.
For the Womanity Foundation, collaboration between social actors is critical to achieving positive and long-lasting results. UNA is a perfect example of this philosophy in action. Since the project conception, it has been designed and implanted collectively, seeking always to maximise effectiveness and relevance forthe local context. To achieve this, after Womanity has managed the initial stages of the platform launch, UN Women will take the lead on this project in partnership with Womanity and other key players.
At UNA it is possible to visualize several initiatives in Brazil, to filter them by themes, field of action, location and types of existing relationships (or not). A survey taking into account more than 390 women’s empowerment initiatives were registered in the initial stage of the project. We want to capture the full picture, so if you are part of any initiative focused on gender equity in Brazil and are not already featured, then pleaseregister at the platform by clicking here.(here a weblink to register only after the launch)
Together we can simplify the complex and achieve greater impact for women and girls!
